Love the look of 'buffing' on the central piece, as if the texture is not 100% fresh and new, but has a slightly scuffed appearance glass or plastics take on over time, causing the reflection to defuse in certain spots.

And yay for remember that, even on a simple object like this, where you have a highly reflective, dark surface, you don't want just reflected light, but also a reflected image.

I remember one of my professors mentioning that in one of the very first classes I had that involved using more then the mere Maya pre-set textures.
